Alien Isolation

Alien Isolation

I dove into Alien Isolation with a little of caution, I wasn’t sure what to expect after reading the mixed reviews that rated the game from phenomenal to sub-par.  It seems like the game requires a good amount of patience and an open mind about how it should be played.  Depending on the type of person who played the game, they either loved it or became irritated by the endless trial and error combined with the surprisingly extended length.

I love this time of year in the garden, especially the succulents. They are blooming with rich vibrant colors and uniquely complex textures and patterns that provide wonderful depth to our backyard garden.

My first introduction into the electronica genre was in the early 90’s through a good friend who turned me onto The Orb’s Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld, one of my favorite albums that I’ll write about later.

I love this time of year in the garden, especially the succulents. They are blooming with rich vibrant colors and uniquely complex textures and patterns that provide wonderful depth to our backyard garden. This week I took a handful of great photos that I’m going to be posting here over the next week.

While a little late, it’s better than never, I finally got back to Deus Ex: Human Revolution to play The Missing Link DLC. After a few hundred hours of Skyrim, I finally broke away to play some other games. I completed Saint’s Row: The Third, it was stupid fun but nothing amazing, then I decided to go back to one of my Top 10 Games of 2011Deus Ex and play The Missing Link DLC.

Recently I picked up a copy of Adobe Lightroom to use for color correcting and adjusting my photographs. I played around with a few older photos, one of them being the Google Android Bots Couple from a series of Google Android Bots I posted back in October of 2011.

On the morning of the 2011 Santa Barbara Marathon I had noticed from our hotel room that it was going to be a beautiful sunrise. It had rained in the night and there were clouds breaking away to blue skies as the sun was rising.

Today on February 12th 2012, I participated and completed my 8th 5k event run in the 34th Annual Firecracker 5k/10k Run, located in our very own Chinatown in the City of Angels (as I like to call Los Angeles). It was a great run and we had a lot of fun. They also have a 30 mile and 20 mile bike ride on Saturday (day before the run) that I was going to sign up for but it was sold out. I’ll definitely participate in it next year as I’m looking for more bike events, especially any mountain biking events.

I was delightfully surprised by the quality of this photo I took on my Nexus One phone of an AmByth Estate 2010 Rosé, so I decided to post a wallpaper version to use for your desktop, iPad, or iPhone. Yup, I do not use an iPhone, yet I make my wallpapers available for iPhone, but they will work for any phone. The iPhone tends to have the higher resolution than most phones and thus that is the format I provide for mobile phones.

On January 7th Jenny, her mom May, and I went to the Hsi Lai Temple. It was the 16th day of the Chinese new year in the year of the Dragon. They had special new year decorations all around the temple. We enjoyed the vegan buddhist lunch and prayed in the temple and threw some wish ribbons on the wish tree.

Series: My Favorite Music | Genre: Classic Rock

Being born in 1970, my baby and early childhood years were subconsciously filled with classic rock music. I suspect this is why I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for the genre. The genre features music ranging from the late 1960’s to the late 1980’s, primarily focusing on the rock genre that peaked in popularity in the 1970’s.
