Alien Isolation

Alien Isolation

I dove into Alien Isolation with a little of caution, I wasn’t sure what to expect after reading the mixed reviews that rated the game from phenomenal to sub-par.  It seems like the game requires a good amount of patience and an open mind about how it should be played.  Depending on the type of person who played the game, they either loved it or became irritated by the endless trial and error combined with the surprisingly extended length.

Originally I was going to write about all my favorite artists within the genre, however I realize that I’ve got a lot to say about some artists, some more than others. So I’ve decided to not follow the format I had originally written about and simply have one article feature one or more artists and simply make several articles that touch a genre.

The English alternative rockers, The Duke Spirit, have rolled out their third album, Bruiser. A solid collection of songs and melodies that has kept me captivated over the last month with regular listening, especially in the car. Their sound is a unique blend of grungy psychedelic rock with harmonic melodies and soulful singing lead by female vocalist Liela Moss.

Often when I’m listening to my music around friends, family, and peers I often get comments about how they like my music selection and usually wondering what I’m playing. While some of my music selection is easily recognizable, a lot of it is not.

Succulents are great plants that work well in desert climate, and the best thing is they provide an extremely rich variety of textures, patterns, and colors. Their blossoms are often beautiful and vibrant when blooming, yet when they dry up they still develop a new type of beauty to enjoy.

Shortly after Jenny and I moved into our first home, Ryan had talked Jenny into coming home with a bearded dragon from the pet store. The bearded dragons are a mellow breed of lizards that originates from the Australian deserts, officially known as Pogona lizards. We named him Looby, after our good friend Brian Looby. They are fantastic pets, very docile and family friendly.

It was a mildly decent year for new music, while a few albums stood out for me, it seemed like there were fewer albums that really amazed me. The electronica and hard rock/metal genres were lacking this year with only a few exceptions.

No doubt that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a massive game of epic proportions and it can be a very daunting task to locate and experience every location the game has to offer. A good map is helpful unless you leave yourself to explore for hours on end, which isn’t a bad thing if you have the time.
