I took these Angeles sunset photos last July during Jussi’s Angeles Crest 100 Mile Endurance Run. We were heading home on the Angeles Crest Highway while Jussi still had about 50 miles to run through the night before finishing his 100 mile race the following morning. As the sun was setting I had to pull over to capture the majestic beauty of it, the skies were clear and the sun was creating a glowing red skyline starkly contrasted by the shadowed darkness of the mountain ridges in front of us.
It made for a classic postcard sunset.
The first photo subtly shows off the mountain ridges in front of us, giving you a little more depth of the mountains, while the second sunset photo is zoomed in showcasing the rich deep red color of the sunset. I’ve made them available to use as a wallpaper for your desktop, iPad, iPhone, and Facebook Cover. I hope you enjoy them!
