Top 10 Games of 2011
After writing up my Top 10 Music Albums of 2011, I thought it might be a good idea to share My Top 10 Games of 2011. I play a lot of games, constantly. They are so immersive, engaging, and damn addictive. In today’s age of technology game development teams have moved into the realm of great stories, visuals, sound design, and gameplay that creates for amazing experiences and entertainment.
Top 10 Music Albums of 2011
It was a mildly decent year for new music, while a few albums stood out for me, it seemed like there were fewer albums that really amazed me. The electronica and hard rock/metal genres were lacking this year with only a few exceptions.
Skyrim Maps
No doubt that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a massive game of epic proportions and it can be a very daunting task to locate and experience every location the game has to offer. A good map is helpful unless you leave yourself to explore for hours on end, which isn’t a bad thing if you have the time.
Thanksgiving with My Brothers
This year for Thanksgiving we broke away from our normal ritual of going to my aunt Maika’s house for family Thanksgiving dinner. Instead we decided, for the first time, to get together with the other side of my family, my brothers.
Cass Rockin’ One
Our good friends Neil and Diana Evans introduced us to Cass Wines a few years back. On our first visit we were impressed with their wines, I think we brought home 6 bottles, maybe more. However, it wasn’t until the days and weeks after our visit when we started to open up the wines at home, we started to realized how amazing their wines really are.
Lost in the Nordic wonderland of Skyrim
While I’m nowhere near being ready to write-up my full thoughts on The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, I’d like to share my enthusiasm for it. I suspect it’ll be a few months before I’m able to complete this incredibly massive game. However, I do want to share how thoroughly impressed I am after playing it for the first few weeks.
The Great American Political Standoff
What is wrong with politicians these days? Why can’t they all just learn to leave their personal agenda out of politics and agree to do the right thing for the greater good of all Americans. I think that most politicians have become so blinded by their own ignorance and greed that they have forgotten why they are really there in the first place.
The Love of My Life
One year ago on December 3rd, 2010 I got married to the love of my life, Jenny. This is after living together for over nine years. We recently passed our ten-year mark last August. Being able to share life with Jenny over the last ten years has been some of the most memorable and enjoyable years of my life. Yet I feel like we are just getting started in our lives together.
