Earlier this year while browsing the fresh vegetable selection at our local Valencia Farmers Market I got inspired to try to make a homemade quiche. Really it was the seasonally fresh squash blossoms, carried by one of the local vendors, that got me thinking about it.

Low is one of those bands that can take a good amount of time to warm up to before you really start to enjoy their music. Low’s music and signing style falls into a genre called slowcore, characterized by slow tempos and minimalist arrangements, a subgenre of alternative and indie rock.

Rage is one of those games that has a lot of big expectations to fill since this was coming from the notorious developer id Software. Notorious because id Software is usually referred to as the originators of the first person shooter genre in video games with games like Wolfenstein, Quake, and DOOM.

I recently discovered an online magazine called Wears The Trousers, a site dedicated to promoting female musicians and artist. They seem to have a talent for finding all types of music and artists that you’ve never heard of, as well as a few that you might have heard about. They are good source for discovering new music.

Last week while out shopping Jenny found some of the official Google Android Bots, mini collectables that come in various design styles. They seem to be a bit rare and hard to come by so I was pretty stoked when she surprised me.  I caught a few shots of them playing in our backyard, here are six shots that turned out pretty nice and can be used for desktops.
