After posting the Cambria Cliff Rock desktop, I thought I’d share a few more of the desktop quality photos from that trip. These two desktops, titled Sculpterra Eagles and Sculpterra Fishtail, are from Sculpterra Winery, a winery on the east side of Paso Robles.  They have a beautiful sculpture garden surrounding the wine tasting room.

After posting the Cambria Cliff Rock desktop, I thought I’d share a few more of the desktop quality photos from that trip. These two desktops, titled Whalebone Blossom and Whalebone Barrel, are from Whalebone Vineyards, a small winery on the west side of Paso Robles. A beautiful drive on Vineyard Drive off HWY 46 going north.  They have a great wine tasting room up on a small hill overlooking the vineyard valley.

Took this photo back in March of 2009 on a road trip to Cambria, California. We stayed at the Cambria Pines Lodge and hooked up with some friends to go wine tasting in the Paso Robles region. From the lodge, cross HWY 1 and drive down through the coastal neighborhood until you come up on a staircase that will take you down to the this nice little beach with tide pools.  It’s a beautiful area that is fairly isolated, a good spot to meditate and simply enjoy the sounds of the ocean.

On September 21st 2011, R.E.M. announced that it has decided to call it a day as a band. They have disbanded. I saw this posted on Facebook and immediately I was bummed. I always felt like I was late in learning about the band and getting into their music.  Many people have a strong connection to their early albums when they started out as a young college band.

This year the slow summer season between great game releases seemed to last longer than usual. The year started out great with games like Dead Space 2, Crysis 2, Portal, and L.A. Noir, all of which were fantastic games that I thoroughly enjoyed but then nothing for about 2 to 3 months until Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Turned 41 years old today. I suppose it means I’m no longer a young adult and finally moving into a so-called “normal” adulthood or something like that. Yet I still feel like someone in their twenties at times, only my body doesn’t quite agree.

Ramen…A Heavenly Meal Done Right!

Ramen…A Heavenly Meal Done Right!

Simple noodles in a flavored broth, usually the hard to find vegetarian or shrimp broth for me.  I grew up occasionally enjoying the basic American Asian wanna-be ramen, the kind you find at your local supermarket that is usually going for .10¢ a bag. A dirt cheap meal to get you fed when times are tough. However it wasn’t until
