E3 2012
Gamers are rejoicing this week as it is the biggest week for the gaming industry and gamers alike with the Electronic Entertainment Expo, or more commonly known as E3. This is when the console manufactures and game developers announce all the latest video games and hardware lineup for the forthcoming 12 to 18 months.
Deus Ex: The Missing Link DLC
While a little late, it’s better than never, I finally got back to Deus Ex: Human Revolution to play The Missing Link DLC. After a few hundred hours of Skyrim, I finally broke away to play some other games. I completed Saint’s Row: The Third, it was stupid fun but nothing amazing, then I decided to go back to one of my Top 10 Games of 2011, Deus Ex and play The Missing Link DLC.
Top 10 Games of 2011
After writing up my Top 10 Music Albums of 2011, I thought it might be a good idea to share My Top 10 Games of 2011. I play a lot of games, constantly. They are so immersive, engaging, and damn addictive. In today’s age of technology game development teams have moved into the realm of great stories, visuals, sound design, and gameplay that creates for amazing experiences and entertainment.
Skyrim Maps
No doubt that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a massive game of epic proportions and it can be a very daunting task to locate and experience every location the game has to offer. A good map is helpful unless you leave yourself to explore for hours on end, which isn’t a bad thing if you have the time.
Lost in the Nordic wonderland of Skyrim
While I’m nowhere near being ready to write-up my full thoughts on The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, I’d like to share my enthusiasm for it. I suspect it’ll be a few months before I’m able to complete this incredibly massive game. However, I do want to share how thoroughly impressed I am after playing it for the first few weeks.
Drake’s Uncharted Adventures
The Uncharted series is easily one of the best action and adventure games made to date. The developers at Naughty Dog continue impress gamers and the industry with their vision for the perfect form of cinematic interactive entertainment. Their latest release, Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception raises the bar to new heights for gamers to enjoy, appreciate, and drool over.
Rage
Rage is one of those games that has a lot of big expectations to fill since this was coming from the notorious developer id Software. Notorious because id Software is usually referred to as the originators of the first person shooter genre in video games with games like Wolfenstein, Quake, and DOOM.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
This year the slow summer season between great game releases seemed to last longer than usual. The year started out great with games like Dead Space 2, Crysis 2, Portal, and L.A. Noir, all of which were fantastic games that I thoroughly enjoyed but then nothing for about 2 to 3 months until Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
