Summary:

A unique macro photo showcasing a succulent blossom in detail with a wood like texture and depth of color on the flower calyxes.

Woody CalyxSomehow I missed this image in my export from Lightroom from earlier in the week. This morning when walking our cat Jäger around our backyard garden, I was looking at this blossom and I realized that I didn’t include it in the desktop posts for February. So my previous post of Garden Succulents in February isn’t the last one on succulents for this month after all, consider this one as a bonus!

I love how this one turned out, the amazing wood like texture and depth of color on the flower calyxes followed by the white cotton like hairs, great details that look fantastic! Use as wallpapers for your desktop, iPad (now in iPad 3 size), iPhone, and now in Facebook Timeline Cover size. Feel free to share and I hope you enjoy them.
